Job Summary:
The Data Protection Staff is responsible for ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of all digital information within Toyota Cagayan de Oro. This role plays a critical part in implementing data protection protocols, conducting IT security audits, maintaining secure networks, and promoting a culture of information security across all branches.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Security & Protection:
- Develop, implement, and monitor data protection policies and best practices to safeguard customer, employee, and company information.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy laws and internal policies, including the Data Privacy Act of 2012.
- Cybersecurity & Network Oversight:
- Maintain and secure local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and other networking systems.
- Monitor system access, detect vulnerabilities, and respond to cyber threats or breaches.
- IT Auditing & Risk Management:
- Conduct regular internal IT audits to evaluate the effectiveness of current security measures.
- Identify and assess potential risks to data security and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Training & Awareness:
- Provide data privacy training and IT security orientation to employees across all departments.
- Promote best practices in handling sensitive information and maintaining digital security.
- Systems Support & Maintenance:
- Assist in maintaining and troubleshooting IT systems and software relevant to data protection.
- Support the implementation of new IT systems and ensure security controls are in place.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology
- With experience in Information Security, IT Auditing, Networking, and Programming
- Knowledgeable in networking systems and cybersecurity protocols
- Strong analytical, communication, and training skills
- Able to work independently and maintain strict confidentiality
- Willing to travel to all Toyota Cagayan de Oro branches
